The struggle for a cuddle is real.
Maggie is resting on the couch, this is a rather large couch. My 6′ something” fiance has napped on this couch without having to squeeze, scrunch, etc. in any way. Yet, when Elsie first tries to cuddle with Maggie, she finds she doesn’t quite fit. So, she looks at me pitifully.
When I do not offer any help, Elsie consults with Maggie. I imagine this conversation went something like this:
E: Please, move over. There is not enough space.
M: I was here first. Please, get off me.
E: I am trying to cuddle!
M: I was trying to sleep.
E: Please, you have already warmed this spot and everything.
Having failed to convince Maggie to move, Elsie now weighs her options. She could lay on Maggie, but Maggie is hot and she really wants to cuddle throughout her entire morning nap.
After really considering the options, Elsie decides Maggie can have her spot. She will find somewhere else to nap. She hops down and as she considers the floor, she spots something.
The other half of the couch! It is empty and yet close enough for a cuddle with Maggie!
